Pros:The staff were all very pleasant, the decor divine (elegant/classy). And the breakfast was GREAT! Nice convenient location, easy access to shopping and theaters galore. I love visiting Mikwaukee, there's so much to do especially downtown. What a treat!!
Cons:There was an odor in our room occasionally (the only thing I can akin it to was raw sewage). While it wasn't continually present it did waft through a couple of times and I was left to wondering what the heck it was or where it was coming from. I didn't address my concern with the staff, as it wasn't a continual odor and reminded myself it is an older building (it's on the National Register of historic places) and these things cans/do happen. My bed however was slightly lopsided and that made for a little bit of uncomfortableness. My only other concern was the amount of panhandlers out on the street near the building. While that's not the hotels fault, I do feel their staff should make certain at all times their guests are not bothered by them especially when walking to the surface parking lot which is about a block away.
