Trip feed -vs- file
If you use a program which supports calendar feeds (listed below) you should almost certainly use a feed. A calendar feed will update automatically whereas a calendar file(.ics) is static and therefore will need to be re-downloaded if you make any edits or additions to your trip.

How to add a calendar feed to Google Calendar
- Copy one of the calendar feed links from the bottom of the Trips settings page.
- In another browser window or tab navigate to your Google Calendar.
- Click the down arrow to the right of "Other calendars" on the left.
- Click "Add by URL" within the menu.
- Paste the link copied from step "1a." into the box.
- Click the "Add calendar" button.
Note: Click the calendar you just added in order to display it.
How to add a calendar feed to MS Outlook 2007
- Copy one of the calendar feed links from the bottom of the Trips settings page.
- Launch MS Outlook 2007.
- Click the "Tools" menu and select "Account Settings".
- Click the "Internet Calendars" tab within the "Account Settings" dialog.
- Click the "new" button.
- Paste the link copied from step "1b." into the box.
- Name your calendar within "Subscription options".
- Your calendar will be displayed on the left within "other calendars".
Note: Merge your calendar by clicking the arrow on your new trip calendar tab.
How to add a calendar feed to Apple iCal
- Copy one of the calendar feed links from the bottom of the Trips settings page.
- Launch Apple iCal
- Select "Subscribe" from the "Calendar" menu
- Paste the link copied from step "1c." into the "Calendar URL" box
- Click the "Subscribe" button
- Modify anything you want on the next dialog box
- Your calendar will be listed on the left side navigation below "Subscriptions"
How to add a calendar feed to Apple iPhone
- Copy one of the calendar feed links from the bottom of the Trips settings page.
- Paste the link copied from step "1d." into an email
- Send the email to your iPhone
- Open the email on your iPhone
- Click the link within the email on your iPhone
- Click the "Subscribe" button on the dialog that appears
- Click the "View Events" button to go to your trip calendar feed or click the "Done" button.
How to export & import an .ICS file to MS Outlook 2003
- Click the "Add to calendar" link at the top-right of your trip details page.
- Click the "Export to .ICS format" link
- Choose to save the file instead of opening it, when prompted
Note: Opening or double-clicking the .ics file will either create a new calendar or only add the first appointment in your Trip to your calendar (depending on your version of Outlook). For best results import the .ics file. Read below.
- Launch MS Outlook, and choose
- "Import and Export" from the File menu
- Choose the option to Import an iCalendar file from the box that pops up
- Browse to the file you saved in step "3e.", and select it
- Choose the "Import" button to add the data to your existing calendar.
