Lots of hidden fees from Hertz. Sneaky wording in the email as well. We anticipated paying $340.73. The email we received had a total of $509.66 - I had anticipated some fees and taxes. When we got there we ended up paying $1176 for 2 days. The email was as follows; Due at pick-up: $340.73 Base Price: $88.38 Taxes and Fees: $252.35 You will pay AUD 509.66 at pick-up Which is far from the $1176 that we paid for a 2 day car rental. Very misleading and they don’t tell you until you get there so you’re stuck paying for it.Reviewed 2024 Jan 20
